PATCH TEST KITS

As you are aware a patch test must be carried out at least 48 hours before your colouring service to ensure there is no sensitivity or allergy to our colour range.

Even if you are a long standing client and have had your hair coloured with us many times, or indeed had a patch test just before lockdown we MUST still carry out a patch test before your colour service.

We appreciate your time is precious, and many of you travel from afar to visit us.

Travelling over to have a patch test may not be convenient.

So we would like to offer you a simple and easy solution - We send out to you

‘The Patch Test Kit’ so you can do your patch test from home.

You simply follow the step by step guide at least 48 hours before your appointment.

You must then bring the signed & dated Kit with you to your next appointment, along with a picture of proof the test was carried out.

This cost of this kit is £10 including p&p. If of course you prefer to come to the salon we can patch test you for free.

As we are a zero waste salon promoting sustainability we advise you to wash out the syringe to keep for future testing.

A patch test will be available to order from our online shop in the coming week. We will send out an update with a link for you to purchase.

We hope this option takes away the stress from having to visit the salon for a patch test which only takes a few minutes.

Any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch.

OUR POLICY

We insist on carrying out a skin test if:

  1. This is your first colour service post lockdown.

  2. You are a new client

  3. There has been at least 3 months since you last had your hair coloured.

  4. You have had a new tattoo or temporary/permanent black henna tattoo.

  5. You would like to change your colour shade.

  6. You have used a home colour.

Please Note: If you have a reaction to the allergy alert test we will not be able to colour your hair - Reactions include reddening, itching, swelling or a burning sensation. If this happens, you will need to seek medical advice.

Disclaimer: Even if the allergy alert test is OK, although rare you may still develop a reaction during the hair colouring process. We will stay vigilant and thoroughly rinse your hair if we see an adverse reaction.

What a fabulous idea! I’ll be popping in to have mine as I need my fold fix ☺️ and to collect some lovely organic wine but love this for future busy schedules xx
